New extension granted until 15 March 2022, for the programme of the Energy Efficiency - Autonomy 2021 of the Ministry of Environment and Energy.
According to Minister Kostas Skreka, 80,000 applications have already been submitted for the programme. The aim is to upgrade the energy efficiency of more than 50,000 homes across the country.
The most important criterion for the evaluation of applications is the estimated annual energy savings based on the proposed cost of interventions at 50%, followed by individual or family income at 15%.
For households with an individual income of up to €5,000 and a family income of up to €10,000, the subsidy is 75%.

The works covered by this programme are:
- Replacement of frames
- Placement - Upgrading thermal insulation
- Heating - cooling system upgrade
- CHP system using Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
- Additional savings interventions such as smart home, lighting upgrades.
